A delicious journey into the chocolate world through games, creations, surprises and a final choco-picnic in a jolly atmosphere. Children will be involved hands-on in an amusing workshop with one of the leading maître chocolatier of the Tuscan chocolate valley, who will entertain them with chocolate games, creations and surprises. The workshop will be followed by a tasting of flavorful bars and delicious pralines. Please note that the workshop addresses to children from 3 to 12 years old, lasts about 45 minutes and is available both at your villa and in a studio located in the center of Florence. The very elegant noble villas are at only few minutes from Lucca, basking in the verdant countryside among olive groves and vineyards. They were not only the summer residences of the noble families but were also representative of a certain status as can be seen from their beautiful architecture and lavish interior décor. Villa Torrigiani Santini A spectacular Baroque villa whose gardens still retain their original form, rich of surprises and amazing water games. The inside of the villa, which is completely furnished, can also be visited. Brolio Castle and the Abbey of Coltibuono The villas and vineyards of the First Families of Chianti. We will spend the day amidst the beauty and majesty of noble estates born through centuries of intrigue and investment, political strife and artistic patronage. We will view the fertile fields and breathtaking citadels that grounded the fortunes of central Tuscany’s most prestigious dynasties. Our journey centers around two Chianti landmarks, the mighty Castle of Brolio and the powerful Abbey of Coltibuono. We will travel into the heart of the Chianti region along beautiful country roads to reach the Castle of Brolio. Home to the mighty Ricasoli family, Brolio is famous in Chianti lore both as a strategic outpost and the birthplace of modern Chianti wine. We will enjoy the tour of the castle's marvellous garden and the tasting of the estate’s fine wines followed by a delicious lunch at a local trattoria. In the afternoon we will arrive at the Abbey of Badia a Coltibuono, which was founded in 1051 by the monks of the Vallombrosan Order and has been owned by the Stucchi-Prinetti family since 1846. After the tour, we will visit the Coltibuono enoteca, where you will have a chance to sample the estate’s wine, olive oil, and enjoy the beautiful ceramics and olive wood pieces produced by local artisans.
